another style within 30 days of receiving your order. This Observatory tent is the ideal accessory for taking away to star parties or for prolonged sessions at home. It has a diameter of 3m with an opening of 2.2m diameter. The height of the tent is 1.4m allowing it to accomodate quite a reasonable sized telescope and mount.
The tent is octagonal in shape and can accomodate 2-3 observers depending on the telescope setup.
The ground sheet is made of re-enforced nylon but we recommend that some protection be placed under tripod legs to prevent tearing - vibration pads are perfect for this.
Easy to assemble and completely waterproof, the tent is supplied with a carry bag and pegs.
Two flex aluminum poles will create a dome effect once you put the fly cover over the tent. This will aid in giving you more height protection for larger scopes, and during rain causing runoff water and keeping your equipment dry.
The Observing tents when tied down correctly can withstand heavy winds and rain.
The installation can be finished within 10 minutes by one person or within 5 minutes by 2 people. We recommend 2 people but 1 can easily erect this tent.
