Philodendron pastazanum ‘Silver’ is a glossy, heart-leaf stunner with that brushed-metal sheen collectors go weak for. Thick, quilted foliage and bold veining give it a luxe, sculptural look — like it’s been polished up and put on display.

This one’s a creeper, not a climber — it loves to crawl sideways as it grows, making it an unreal feature plant once it starts stretching out and sizing up. If you’re building a serious aroid line-up, ‘Silver’ brings that rare, refined vibe without being overly precious.

Position Keep in filtered sunlight or provide artificial light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Temperature Temperatures above 20 degrees will speed up growth. Keep temperatures above 15 degrees.
Water Sensitive to overwatering; potting mix must be allowed to almost dry between waterings.
Fertiliser Only fertilise if you would like the plant to grow larger. Lack of fertiliser will keep the plant shorter and more compact.
Repotting Only when well established in pot or mid-spring.
