JET70 Fuzz

The JET70 is my take on the fuzz pulled from a 1970s MS-A Pedal Steel guitar. The circuit has been modernized but retains the sound of the original unit. This relatively unknown 70's circuit is the secret sauce to the lead guitar tones on Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins. I have been exploring these tones on my YouTube channel and this is my attempt to bring the biggest part of those lead guitar sounds to you in a modern pedal format with modern power filtering and true bypass switching.

The topology of the circuit is similar to the more commonly known Jordan Boss Tone (Nashville version) although the differences between the two make this a more stable circuit without the oscillation issues that Boss Tones can exhibit.

This is the sound can be heard on Cherub Rock in the choruses and the solo, Rocket when all the instruments stop and that single guitar starts playing the droning G riff, the intro lead for Hummer, the solo to Soma and so much more. Pair this with an EHX Microsynth and you'll have 99% of the lead guitar lines covered.
