Tam Kam persimmons are excellent for eating fresh, dried, or in salads. Very sweet and crisp, similar to a Fuyu but often considered sweeter. Known for being a very heavy producer. Medium growth habit, a bit more aggressive than most non-astringents, probably why their yields are higher. Self fertile as are all non-astringent Asians. Cold tolerance is similar to other non-astringent varieties at 10 degrees with short intervals a little lower.
