Flamed Hermann Geipel violin full size Strad copy 1935

Fine example of sought after German craftsmanship by skilled luthier Hermann Geipel. New Rondo strings with Evah Parazzi Gold E string and a proper set up are gracing this gorgeous violin. 

One recenlty sold for $6,400. A quick internet search will tell you everything you need to know about this wonderful maker.

The violin was owned by a woman that immigrated to the US from Europe. It was passed down through her family who no longer has a use for it and is now offered for sale.

Note the label does not say 'Made in Germany'...why? It was likely bought in Germany or Europe as the World War II was about to break out. Many europeans were coming to the USA due to this, and likely why the owner left as well. She likely purchased the violin there and imported it with her, explaining why the violin does not have the required 'Made in Germany' stamp on the label or on the violin.
