When to Replace

• Visible cracking, abrasions, or brittleness on the hose exterior.
• Persistent smell of gas near connections after the tank valve is opened.
• Inconsistent or low flame, or burners that will not stay lit.
• Flames are yellow or produce soot instead of being primarily blue.
• Regulator produces a humming or whistling noise during operation.

Installation Tips

• Ensure the propane tank valve is completely closed before starting.
• Hand-tighten the QCC1 fitting onto the propane tank until secure. Do not use tools.
• Use an appropriate wrench to tighten the 3/8-inch flare nut onto the appliance's gas inlet.
• After connecting, perform a leak test by applying a soapy water solution to all connections.
• Open the tank valve and look for bubbles, which indicate a leak. If bubbles form, turn off the gas and retighten the connection.
